Die Plätzwiese liegt in den Pragser Dolomiten. Im Norden das Pustertal, im Südwesten das Gadertal und im Osten das Höhlensteintal.
Das von mächtigen Gipfeln umringte Kleinod hat auch durch die Eingliederung in den Naturpark Fanes-Sennes-Prags seine Ursprünglichkeit und Natürlichkeit bewahren können.

Prato Piazza si trova nelle Dolomiti di Braies. A nord della Val Pusteria, a sud-ovest della Val Badia, a est della valle di Landro.
Questo gioiello circondato da cime altissime ha mantenuto la sua integrità perché incluso nel parco naturale di Fanes-Sennes-Braies.

Prato Piazza is located in the Dolomites of Braies. The limits are in the north Puster Valley, in the southwest of Val Badia and in the east by the Landro Valley.
This cute juwel is surrounded by massive peaks and looses nothing of its fascinating flair, because it is part of the Natural Parc of Fanes- Sennes-Braies.
